Our community sponsorship program provides funding to nonprofit organizations hosting events in northeast, central, and east central Indiana, and St. Mary's, Ohio. Whether you're planning festivals, fundraisers, educational programs, or community gatherings, 3Rivers may be able to help bring your vision to life.

Sponsorship Application FAQs

Find answers to common questions about our community sponsorship program.
Does the online application work on all browsers?
 The online application works best in Chromium-based web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave). Unfortunately, the application is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Do not use your browser's Back button. 
How does 3Rivers decide which sponsorship applications to approve?
Our Community Engagement Team evaluates applications based on alignment with credit union values, available funding, event impact, and service to our member communities. Meeting criteria doesn't guarantee approval.
What documents are required for the sponsorship application?
All applicants must submit a completed Form W-9 and either a detailed sponsorship packet (strongly preferred) or donation letter. Incomplete applications may delay the review process significantly.
Can organizations apply for multiple sponsorships in the same year?
To ensure equitable distribution of funds, organizations may submit only one sponsorship request during any 12-month period. Plan strategically when selecting your event to maximize your impact. 
When is the application deadline for community sponsorship requests?
 Applications must be submitted at least 60 days before your event date or sponsorship deadline, whichever comes first. This timeline allows our Community Engagement Team adequate review time.
How much funding has 3Rivers invested in community organizations?
Since 2015, the 3Rivers Foundation has invested over $2 million in hundreds of nonprofits. In 2024 alone, we awarded $262,000 in grants and supported 280+ organizations through sponsorships annually.
What geographic areas does 3Rivers sponsorship program serve?
3Rivers serves northeast, central, and east central Indiana, and St. Mary's, Ohio. We proudly support nonprofit organizations across Fort Wayne and surrounding counties through our 24 branch locations.
